Edit Content

Refine and enhance your generated content with built-in editing and AI enhancement tools

The Edit tab is where generated content is refined into publication-ready articles. Whether editing immediately after generation or returning to a previous draft, the editor provides powerful tools to polish the work.

Accessing the Editor

The editor can be accessed in two ways:

  1. After generation: Content Studio automatically switches to Edit view after generating new content
  2. From content library: Navigate to Content Studio > Edit and select any previously generated draft from the content library

The content library shows all drafts with details like specialty, tone, word count, creation date, and status.

Editor Interface

Content Studio uses a modern markdown editor that balances simplicity with powerful features. The editor displays:

  • Content preview: The article as it will appear when published
  • Formatting toolbar: Access to text formatting and enhancement tools
  • Document stats: Word count, readability grade, and estimated reading time in the right sidebar
  • Research sources: Referenced articles used during content generation

Basic Editing

Click anywhere in the text to begin editing. Practitioners can:

  • Type directly to add or modify text
  • Delete or rewrite sections
  • Add new paragraphs or sections
  • Adjust headers and formatting

The editor saves changes automatically.

Enhance Selected Text

One of Content Studio's most powerful features is the ability to enhance specific sections of content with AI assistance.

Using the Enhancement Tool

  1. Select text: Highlight the portion of text you want to improve (at least a sentence or paragraph works best)
  2. Open enhancement menu: Click the sparkles icon that appears in the bubble menu above your selection
  3. Choose enhancement style: Select from four enhancement options:

More Empathetic Transforms language to be warmer, more validating, and emotionally supportive. Use this for sensitive topics or when discussing client experiences.

Simplify & Clarify Breaks down complex concepts into plain language. Helps make clinical information more accessible to general audiences.

Add Action Steps Includes specific techniques, coping strategies, or practical steps readers can implement. Makes content more actionable and valuable.

Professional Polish Enhances clinical credibility with evidence-based language and formal tone. Strengthens authority on technical topics.

Custom Instructions

Each enhancement style can be further customized with additional instructions in the text field. For example:

  • "Include more specific CBT techniques"
  • "Add an example of how this works in practice"
  • "Make this more suitable for clients rather than other therapists"

Applying Enhancements

Click Enhance Text to process the selection. Compare the original and enhanced versions to see the difference. Apply the enhanced version to replace the original text, or Copy the enhanced text to the clipboard and add it to the content.

Working with Research Sources

The right sidebar displays research articles that informed content generation. Practitioners can:

  • View article abstracts
  • Copy citations for references
  • Click through to read full articles
  • Insert citations directly into content

Read more about Research Sources in the Research Library section.

Content Metadata

The editor also displays:

  • Readability grade: Indicates reading level (e.g., "7th Grade" means accessible to most audiences)
  • Reading time: Estimated time for readers to complete the article
  • Word count: Total words in the current draft

Use these metrics to ensure content matches target audience and platform requirements.

Saving and Moving Forward

Save changes when satisfied with the edited content. When ready to publish, move to the Distribute tab.
